All four Copefrut´s packing houses were successfully approved in the process of the BRC recertification after an exhausted audit that held during the month of June.

BRC is a certification designed by British retailer in which it is reestablish the perimeter of Nontoxic, legality and quality that the providers must meet for the consumer, guaranteeing the client that the product to be acquired is safe. Packing house Buin, Cenkiwi, Cenfrut and Linares have this certification since seven years ago.

Copefrut had an important presence at the Fruit Logistica 2011 event - the leading International meeting place of the fresh produce trade that took place in Berlin, Germany, the first weeks of February.

In my capacity of CEO of Copefrut S.A. (the "Company"), I hereby inform you that on this date Inversiones Frutícolas S.A. ("Inversiones Frutícolas"), owned by Frutícola José Soler S.A., Inversiones Paso Ancho Limitada and Agrícola Ana María S.A., -these companies and their respective owners being shareholders of the Company- has launched in Chile a tender offer (oferta pública de adquisición de acciones - ("OPA") over all -100%- of the Company´s shares. Said operation is worth an estimate US$78 million.

Nine orchards of Copefrut S.A. were certified under Rainforest Alliance standard, a Protocol of Sustainable Agricultural Network based on GAP. Its main concern is environmental conservation and CSR. COPEFRUT S.A. is the first top fruit and kiwifruit Chilean Company obtaining this certification for export grade fruit.
